Community Services Division

The Division for Community Services (DCS) serves as a point of contact for developing and maintaining a comprehensive substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment system that can demonstrate effectiveness and sustainability.

The Community Services Regional Managers within the Community Services Section (CSS) provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team of professionals tasked to provide technical assistance to jurisdictions. CSS staff functions as an integrated prevention, intervention and treatment unit focusing on the delivery of services to all populations.

Each of Maryland's twenty-four jurisdictions has identified substance abuse County Coordinators. County Coordinators assist local citizens and organizations in identifying alcohol and drug abuse prevention, intervention and treatment needs and services, and coordinate the delivery of publicly funded services in each jurisdiction.
